Ferozepur, 3 March- Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University Ferozepur hosted a transformative outreach event  in university campus under the able guidance of honorable Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Susheel Mittal.The event organized by Carrier Development Cell of the university aimed at encouraging students to explore the Gandhi Fellowship, a prestigious program dedicated to developing the leaders of tomorrow. The orientation session, organized in collaboration with the Piramal Foundation to create awareness about Gandhi Fellowship, saw the participation of over 50 students from diverse academic backgrounds, including B.Sc Agriculture, B.ScEnvironment Science, BCA, MCA and MBA. The session provided an insightful presentation about the fellowship, outlining its mission, objectives, and the profound impact it has had on individuals and communities across India. Students were particularly inspired by the personal stories shared by Gandhi Fellows and alumni: Afsana, Paleshwar Sahu, and RupeshVerma. Each shared their unique experiences within the fellowship, emphasizing how the program empowered them to drive tangible changes in their communities. Mr. Neeraj Munjal, Senior Program Manager of the PiramalFoundation, motivated the students by providing powerful examples of social impact, encouraging them to envision a future where they could contribute meaningfully to societal transformation. Dr. Bhawna Basar, Program Manager of the Piramal Foundation, also engaged directly with the students, answering questions and fostering a deeper connection to the fellowship’s values. The event culminated in an engaging Q&A session, where students inquired about the fellowship’s application process, available opportunities, and potential career pathways post-program. Univeristy Registrar,Dr. Gazal Preet Arneja, appreciated the efforts of Carrier Development Cell in organizing this event. He congratulated Dr. Tejeet Singh-Corordinator Carrier DevelopmntCell – to organize such a wonderful event and also appreciated efforts made by CDC Co-coordinators – Mr Inderjeet Singh Gill  & Mr Ritesh Uppal   in successfully organizing this event that may benefit many students in coming future . He said that such types of events will let the students know about the various opportunities and aboAnchorut government fellowship programs.
