Firozepur, 3 Aprail-SBS State University, Ferozepur has organized Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme ,under the able guidance of honorable Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Susheel Mittal, to motivate the students for adaptation of self employment activity .This program was organized by MSME Development & Facilitation Office (DFO) Ludhiana in association with SBS State University, Ferozepur. MSME is working for the development of existing and potential micro, small and medium enterprises in the State of Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh. During this programme the participants gained knowledge about the various initiatives taken by the Ministry of MSME, DIC, Government of Punjab, PSRLM, RSETI, Banks/Financial Institutions and other departments for entrepreneurship development in MSME sector thereby motivating them for self-employment and setting up their own enterprise.Around 200 students of B.Tech,/BCA/MCA courses took advantage of this program. On this occasion Mr WazirSingh, Asst Director, MSME enlightened the students about various government schemes that they can avail to start a small scale industry. In addition, Manager of Lead Bank, Ms GeetaMehta also highlighted about the ways how one can avail loanfacilities from banks to start a small scale business. On this occasion, Mr Preet Gill from Distt Industries Center, Ferozepur, was also present. He also encouraged the student to become an entrepreneur and highlighted the various areas in which they can start their own industry at small scale level.Dr. GazalPreet Arneja- Registrar of University-congratulated and appreciated the team of Carrier Development Cell under the leadership of Dr Tejeet Singh. He appreciated the hard efforts made by Co-cordinators : Mr Inderjeet Singh Gill & Mr RiteshUppal for organizing such wonderful event that enlightened the mind of students to be an entrepreneur. Dr Gazal Preet alsosuggested that such events must be held in frequent so that students may get awareness about the various government schemes and about the financial assistance to start business at such levels.
