Mohali, May 19, 2025: Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), who is serving life imprisonment in the murder case of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, has got a big relief from the Mohali court.The court has acquitted Jagtar Singh Hawara in the case related to Explosives and Arms Act registered in Sadar police station of Kharar in the year 2005. Appearance through video conferencing The case was heard in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Tej Pratap Singh Randhawa of Mohali.During this, Hawara was produced through video conferencing.The court acquitted him in the case registered under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Explosive Substances Act and sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act. Lawyer said – acquitted due to lack of evidence Hawara’s lawyer Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told after the verdict that the police could neither arrest Hawara nor recovered any explosives or weapons from him.“The court has acquitted Hawara due to lack of evidence. This is a victory of law and truth,” lawyer Manjhpur said. Friend said – truth has won today Hawara’s friend Jaswant Singh, who was present in the court, reacted after the verdict and said, “Today justice has won, this is a message for all those who have been facing injustice for years.”
