Jalandhar, February 9 :\u00a0In a major breakthrough against organised<\/span> crime, Jalandhar Rural Police has successfully apprehended three members of a sophisticated burglary gang that specifically targeted NRI properties and vacant houses in the region. The police have recovered substantial stolen property along with a vehicle used in the commission of these crimes.\u00a0\u00a0The arrested individuals have been identified as Kuldeep<\/span> Kumar<\/span>, son of Jagat Ram, originally from Mahsi<\/span>, Bahraich<\/span> (UP), currently residing near PPR Mall, Jalandhar; Sonu<\/span> Kashap<\/span>, son of Mule, from Ramghat<\/span>, District Bahraich<\/span> (UP), also residing near PPR Mall; and Parmeet Singh, son of Jaspal Singh, resident of House No. 444\/1, Mata Rani Chowk, Model Town, Jalandhar.\u00a0Senior Superintendent of Police Harkamal Preet \u00a0Singh Khakh<\/span> said that the arrests were made during a special operation conducted by the Crime Branch under the supervision of SP Investigation Jasroop<\/span> Kaur<\/span>, IPS, and DSP Investigation Sarvanjit Singh. The operation, led by Sub-Inspector Amandeep Verma, was executed based on credible input received about suspicious activities in the Bidhipur<\/span> area.\u00a0SSP Khakh<\/span> elaborated that the gang employed sophisticated techniques, using specialised<\/span> tools to break into locked houses during nighttime hours. The accused were apprehended while traveling in a car bearing registration number PB 01 E 7724, which was also seized during the operation. The police recovered fifty pieces of stolen taps among other valuables from their possession.\u00a0A case has been registered under sections 331(04) and 305 at Police Station Maqusdan<\/span>, Jalandhar<\/span> Rural.The accused have been produced before the honourable<\/span> court and remanded to police custody for further investigation.\u00a0“Initial investigation suggests this gang has been active across multiple districts, specifically targeting properties belonging to NRIs<\/span> and vacant houses. The police remand will help us uncover the full extent of their criminal activities and identify potential accomplices,” said SSP Khakh<\/span>.The police teams are conducting a thorough investigation to recover more stolen property and identify the network used to dispose of these items. The Police team is also examining potential connections to other similar cases reported in the region.<\/p>\n
